My pastor’s wife said something yesterday that’s stuck with me: The whole time, the plan was love! She was talking about the fall of man, and how Adam’s choices affected the whole human race and that we’d been separated from Him until such a time as we may or may not accept His Son and the sacrifice He made. 1st Corinthians 13 says that love never fails, but in this sin-sick world I find love sadly lacking. Espcially the unconditional self-sacrificing kind. The Creator of this universe clearly states that greater love hath no man than he lay down his life for a friend, in John 15.13. Well, the military are laying down their lives daily for perfect strangers. Why are those same strangers slamming the military – that’s my question. They’re dying for your right to freedom of speech, to say whatever you please without regard to anyone’s feelings but your own. I for one am tired of the Silence of the Lambs, the holy ones bought with a price, the blood of the Son of God. I’m ready to stand up and say something. You?
One more question. In the video at the link below David Barton raises a subject I’d never really thought about. The Bible has been accused of causing “psychological damage”. Not sex education classes handing out condoms to prevent rambant promiscurity. Not people coming out of the closet. The One who created the world and wrote about it. Seriously. I’m interested in your feedback. What do you think?
